After more than two years of our partnership with SoCal CAN, NCCPC has retired Let’s Go To College Bay Area. We look forward to announcing future student-facing resources.

SAN JOSE, Calif., December 18, 2023 – The University of California Office of the President entered a partnership with the Northern California College Promise Coalition (NCCPC) for the next three years (2023-2026).

We are thrilled to share that our Executive Director Meredith Curry Nuñez received several recognitions in 2023. 

On January 3, 2024, the National College Attainment Network (NCAN) highlighted Mer as their first Member of the Month for 2024.

NCCPC headed to Indian Wells, CA in November 2023 to present at the Community College League of California (CCLC) 2023 Conference with the 50th Mayor of Oakland Libby Schaaf, the President of San Jose City College Dr. Rowena Tomaneng, and NCCPC’s Steering Committee Chair David Silver.

On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the Sacramento City Council Tuesday voted unanimously to join the NCCPC to promote and explore college savings and college readiness options in Sacramento.

The Northern California College Promise Coalition (NCCPC) and the California Child Savings Account Coalition (CSA Coalition) took our partnership to a new level of alignment and integration. This work is grounded in a commitment to promoting economic and racial equity in the operations, funding, outreach and engagement strategies of all CSA programs serving our communities.
