Noelia Gonzalez has over 20 years of experience in Higher Education Administration.  She started as a financial aid counselor and moved up to Associate Director At CSU, Northridge.  Along the way she served in various leadership positions with the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, centered around state and federal issues.  She also served on the Grant Advisory Committee with the California Student Aid Commission.  While at CSUN, Noelia organized and presented multiple college attainment events:  Free Cash for College, College! Making it Happen, I’m Going to College, and Adopt – a – High school.  In 2008, she went on to serve as the Director of Financial Aid at Stanislaus State. 

While at Stanislaus State, she began serving on the California Student Aid Commission Financial Aid Advisory Board. In 2012, she became the first and only combined Director of Admissions and Financial Aid in the CSU System. She oversaw outreach, admissions, financial aid, and prospective student marketing and communications. She also helped create the WOW (Warriors on the Way) program. A partnership with the three local community colleges to help ease the transfer process. While at Stanislaus, Noelia served on multiple campus committees; Graduation Rate Excellence and Assessment Team, President’s Commission on Diversity and Inclusion, and Chaired the Dreamer Committee. She also served on the systemwide Graduation Initiative 2025 Financial Support Workgroup. Noelia Also testified on behalf of the CSU at multiple hearings at the State Legislature. In 2019, Noelia was promoted to Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management at Stanislaus State. In April of 2021, Noelia accepted an interim position at the CSU Chancellor’s Office as the Interim Systemwide Director for Financial Aid Programs. The position advises the 23 CSU campuses on financial aid administration, and is responsible for the leadership and direction of student financial aid programs for the CSU system, totaling $4+ billion to approximately 400,000 students. She provides systemwide leadership of major statewide initiatives and provides guidance to legislative staff for both State and Federal issues.

Noelia has a BA in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and an MA in Education Administration, with an emphasis in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from CSU, Northridge.
