Joint Convenings of Elected Officials & Funders
At our Joint Convenings for Elected Officials and Funders, our coalition brings together a wide array of stakeholders committed to enhancing college access, success, and career pathways for first-generation, low-income, BIPOC, multiply marginalized and underserved students in Northern California.
The first Joint Convening was hosted in July 2024. This event marked the end of NCCPC’s annual 1) Funders’ Convenings and 2) Mayors’ Circles. Moving forward, we look forward to bring together both philanthropic and elected/appointed partners and allies as we vision a future for our communities that advances education equity and economic mobility.

2nd Joint Convening
Stay tuned for more information about our second annual Joint Convening. We are grateful to the CA Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office for co-hosting this event with NCCPC! We are excited to host this event at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA on August 1st (rescheduled from July 31st)!

1st Joint Convening
We held our first Convening for Champions of Higher Education Equity at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA! We thank co-hosts Students Rising Above, 10,000 Degrees, Sobrato Philanthropies, the City of Hayward Mayor Mark Salinas, and California Volunteers for their partnership and we are grateful to the College Futures Foundation, Crankstart, Excite Credit Union, and Santa Clara University for sponsoring this event.
