State Treasurer Fiona Ma Promotes CalKIDS in San José, Kicks Off the First San José Education Forum

Executive Director Mer Curry Nuñez submitted a proposal to the Cradle to Career Data System as a Community Engagement Advisory Board Member, which was approved unanimously on May 1, 2024.

San José City College, San José State University, the San José Public Library, Santa Clara University , San José Cal-SOAP Consortium, the Bay Area K-16 Collaborative, and the Northern California College Promise Coalition partnered to host the first San José Education Forum on April 26, 2024.

SAN JOSE, Calif., January 19. 2024 – San José City College (SJCC) will host the first San José Education Forum on April 26, 2024, in partnership with the Northern California College Promise Coalition (NCCPC), San José State University, Santa Clara University, San José Cal-SOAP Consortium, and the San José Public Library.

After more than two years of our partnership with SoCal CAN, NCCPC has retired Let’s Go To College Bay Area. We look forward to announcing future student-facing resources.

SAN JOSE, Calif., December 18, 2023 – The University of California Office of the President entered a partnership with the Northern California College Promise Coalition (NCCPC) for the next three years (2023-2026).

We are thrilled to share that our Executive Director Meredith Curry Nuñez received several recognitions in 2023. 

On January 3, 2024, the National College Attainment Network (NCAN) highlighted Mer as their first Member of the Month for 2024.

NCCPC headed to Indian Wells, CA in November 2023 to present at the Community College League of California (CCLC) 2023 Conference with the 50th Mayor of Oakland Libby Schaaf, the President of San Jose City College Dr. Rowena Tomaneng, and NCCPC’s Steering Committee Chair David Silver.
